Scott is an accomplished senior practicing Veterinary Surgeon with 21 years experience in the industry. He has experience in both corporate, independent, welfare and charity Veterinary practice, while having set up from scratch four independent veterinary practices both in the UK and Europe. Scott has also enjoyed a long career in media, appearing on camera to present items for This Morning, BBC Breakfast and The Paul O’Grady show to hosting his own programme Vet on The Hill for 7 series aired internationally. Scott has written and published a book called Puppy Parenting and acts as advocate or patron for a number of animal charities including Street Paws and All Dogs Matter.
Born in Brisbane, Australia, to British parents, Scott studied at the University of Queensland Veterinary School. Graduating in 1997, he began his veterinary career working at the largest animal hospital in Australia, the RSPCA clinic in Sydney, which at the time was the home of TV series ‘Animal Hospital’.
Whilst working in East London, he began working regularly in media, becoming the vet for the very first Big Brother series, hosting Extinct for Meridian, a programme highlighting endangered species while regularly appearing on BBC Breakfast News, The Paul O’Grady Show, GMTV, Blue Peter and CBBC. He appeared as an expert vet on BBC’s Crufts, and was the regular vet on This Morning from 2002 to present day, filming short documentaries and presenting live items for the stalwart ITV show.
Scott is the author of factual book, Puppy Parenting, a guide to raising a puppy through the first six months of life which is available across Europe, The United States, Canada, Asia and Australia.
An avid sportsmen and documentary film maker, Scott is married to Zoe and is the proud father of 4 children, 2 dogs Betty and Skully, and cat Rickets. He is currently the owner and principal veterinarian of vet practice The Vet In Old Isleworth.
